Philippe Starck "JoJo Long Legs" Cheese Knife

In 1992, the ‘Jojo Long Legs’ cheese knife design was displayed at the World Exposition in Seville where FORGE DE LAGUIOLE won the European Design Award. The bakelite handle is available in green, red or black. The blade of this Laguiole France cheese knife comes in corrosion resistant polished steel.

Before designing the first Laguiole knife in the Forge de Laguiole Signature collection, Philippe Starck followed in the footsteps of his father, an aeronautical engineer, in the 1950s. He always enjoyed sawing, cutting, pasting and handling of any objects.

Three decades later he founded Starck Products and soon became one of the most famous contemporary French designers world wide.

Among the most significant creations of his prolific career were the renovation of President François Mitterrand's private apartments at the Elysée, the Baccarat house in Moscow, and the Forge de Laguiole® manufactory in 1987.

Philippe Starck is the first designer to have been asked by Forge de Laguiole® to open its "Laguiole by Designer" chapter.
